Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds make shocking calls to silence Justin Baldoni’s lawyer

Blake Lively has since broken her silence about the footage and her lawyers said it shows she was abused and unwantedly touched by Justin Baldoni.

Lively and her husband Reynolds have taken legal action following the release of a controversial video by Justin Baldoni’s legal team.

The video shared by Daily Mailincludes several shots of a dance scene between Lively, 37, and Baldoni, 40, on the set of “It Ends With Us.”

While the footage appears to show the actors acting out a scene, Lively argues that it illustrates their discomfort during filming.

In response to the video’s release, Lively and Reynolds, 49, have filed for a protective order, alleging that Baldoni’s legal team, led by Bryan Freedman, is engaging in “inappropriate behavior” and “retaliatory media campaigns.”

Her legal team further argued that Lively’s visible discomfort in the scene was not due to acting, citing moments in which she turned away from Baldoni and “repeatedly requested that the characters just talk.”

“Any woman who has been touched inappropriately in the workplace will recognize Ms. Lively’s discomfort,” the statement said. “You will recognize her careless attempts to ward off the unwanted touch. No woman should have to take defensive measures to avoid her employer touching her without his or her consent.”

The team accused Baldoni of using the release of the video as “another example of an unethical attempt to manipulate the public” and called it “a continuation of her campaign of harassment and retaliation.”

“We continue our efforts to require Mr. Baldoni and his associates to answer in court, under oath and not through trumped-up media stunts,” Lively’s attorney concluded.

In her civil rights complaint filed last month, Lively claimed no one overheard the alleged comment that upset her because the romantic montage scene was silent and the microphones were turned off.

However, as The Blast reported, news outlets obtained video footage showing that Baldoni’s sound equipment was active during the recording. The clips, which capture all three shots, paint a different picture of the dynamics on set.

The unedited footage contains the full context of the comment at approximately seven minutes. While they’re filming the dance scene, Lively brings up her tan and Baldoni responds playfully.

He jokes about possibly putting his beard on her, to which Lively replies that she’ll probably spray tan him.

Baldoni then remarks, “It smells good,” causing both of them to laugh before Lively explains that the scent actually comes from her body makeup.

While the scene shows Baldoni nuzzling Lively’s neck as part of her role as romantic partner, their behind-the-scenes interaction appears professional. Most of their conversations focus on lighting settings and their personal lives.

The raw footage, including audio, was shared by Baldoni’s production company Wayfarer and his attorney Bryan Freedman. Freedman reiterated that Baldoni had “nothing to hide.”
