Defense Minister Pete Hegseth spoke to the American people and followed the fatal collision with an aircraft from the American Airlines and a helicopter from the army outside of Reagan National Airport. Hegseth says that the crash took place while the Black Hawk had an annual flight training flight.
“We know on our side who was involved. It was a rather experienced crew, and that was a necessary annual night evaluation,” said Hegseth in an exclusive video declaration that was only preserved by FOX News. “We assume that the examination can quickly determine whether the plane was in the right amount in the quarter at the time of the incident.”

On Wednesday, around 9:00 p.m. local time, the FAA released a soil arrest on Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport after a military helicopter with three soldiers with a civil aircraft with 60 passengers and four crew members.
In a press conference on Thursday morning, DC Fire and EMS boss John A. Donnelly announced that almost 30 corpses have been recovered from the location of the collision. At this point, the authorities do not believe that there are survivors, added Donnelly.
“We recovered 27 people from the plane and one from the helicopter,” he added. “Despite all these efforts, we are now at a point where we change from a rescue process to a recovery process.”

CEO of American Airlines expresses “deep grief” after the Midair collision
The mayor of DC, Muriel Bowser, thanked the first aiders for working in a “very cold” river during the night in a search and rescue mission, which is now a recovery mission.
The transport secretary Sean Duffy, who was sworn in hours before the collision, swores to maintain answers on behalf of the families of the collision victim and the American people. Duffy noticed that the collision appeared on a clear night and that both the aircraft and the helicopter were in “Standard” patterns.
“Security is our expectation. Everyone who flies in the American sky expects we to fly safely. If you leave an airport, you will get to your goal. That didn’t happen last night,” said Duffy. Duffy believes that the previous evidence indicates that the collision could be “absolutely” prevented.
