The soon-to-expire Biden administration is behaving as if a foreign invading force is about to take power and the house needs to be burned down to prevent the “invaders” from succeeding.

In recent weeks, cynicism has risen several notches due to the decisions made by the outgoing president and others in his administration. First came the pardon Hunter Bidenand then about 1,500 others, including a former Pennsylvania judge who used his private prison system to incarcerate juveniles and reap the profits. Pennsylvania’s Democratic Gov. Josh Shapiro rejected the pardon, saying Biden was “completely wrong” about a so-called “Kids for Cash” scandal.

Other questionable pardons and clemency requests included one that Biden issued for Rita Crundwell Comptroller of Dixon, Illinois. Crundwell was convicted in 2013 and sentenced to nearly 20 years in prison for stealing nearly $54 million from the city of 15,000 people over two decades. It is said to be the largest municipal fraud in US history. Crundwell, now 71, admitted to embezzling from the city and using the stolen funds to live a lavish lifestyle. According to WTTW, “officials only recovered $40 million of the stolen city money from legal settlements, auditors’ work and proceeds from the liquidation of Crundwell’s assets.”

Biden participated in a fire sale of steel barriers ordered during the previous Trump administration to build a wall and secure the southern border. These were materials that were paid for with tax money. It’s part of a seemingly cynical plan to frustrate the new Trump team and make its job on border control more difficult. I cannot remember such a transition in our history.

Then came the drones. The government maintains that they are not from U.S. adversaries and do not pose a threat to public safety. They also claimed to know nothing about her. If they don’t know anything, how can they claim that they don’t come from foreign companies and don’t harm people?

The drones have been seen over New Jersey and New York for weeks and were recently spotted over California and Nevada. A woman called into a DC talk show and said she and her daughter saw 30 drones flying over southern Maryland. Former Republican Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan posted images that he said show drones flying over his home in a D.C. suburb. Without credible information from the Biden administrationConspiracy theorists are in full swing, along with accusations of a cover-up.

While democratic New York Mayor Eric Adams While he says he will work with the new Trump administration to deport migrants in the country illegally, even from his “sanctuary city,” other Democratic mayors and governors are vowing to oppose deportation even of those who have committed crimes , and make their cities and states “Trump-proof.”

The new “border czar” Tom Homan has promised to send teams of agents into resisting cities and states controlled by Democratic politicians and to withdraw migrants. A Fox News poll in October shows they have the support of an overwhelming majority of Americans.

Support for deportations has increased dramatically since 2015, according to the survey of registered voters. “Among nonwhite voters, 57 percent now support mass deportations, whereas only 33 percent said so in 2015. In addition, 91 percent of Republicans now say they support deportations – a 21-point increase since 2015. Rural voters’ support is up 20 points, urban voters’ support is up 19 points, and men’s support is up 16 .” Even Democratic support for deportations has risen to 42 percent, from 34 percent in 2015.

That doesn’t seem to matter to the Biden administration, which still has five weeks left. They act as if Vice President Kamala Harrisnot Trump, won the election and the voters can be ignored.

The second Trump administration will have a lot of cleaning up to do. If her promised measures prove to work, look for public approval to remain high as she and a GOP majority in Congress seek to undo the damage caused by the Biden administration.
