Rabat – General Secretary of the Justice and Development Party of Morocco (PJD), Abdelilah Benkirane, denounced a request from a human rights association who asked the Interior Minister Abdelouafi Laftit to prohibit the party’s national congress.
During his opening speech at the regular meeting of the General Secretariat of the PJD, Benkirane, explained This orientation of Hamas in the congress would be “a great honor”, which confirmed the widespread Moroccan support for the Palestinian resistance.
He continued and claimed that those who demanded the exclusion of Hamas should be subject to investigations, especially in view of the position of King Mohammed VI, who equated the Palestinian cause with the National Council of National Council Morocco and emphasized that Moroccan Palestine with the same review of the territorial integrity.
He greeted the endurance and victims of the Palestinian resistance – including the martyrdom of its leaders, fighters and countless civilians under Israeli bombing in Gaza, in West Jordan, Yemen, Syria, Lebanon and beyond. He emphasized that the Palestinian thing remains a defining topic for the Arab and Islamic world and overcomes geography.
Benkirane spoke about the bad catastrophe in Gaza and said: “What happens is breaking our hearts. We are amazed at the mere ability of this criminal, Netanyahu to kill daily, starve to starve an entire population, to deprive them of food and medicine and to address journalists.”

Benkirane also condemned reports of Israeli ships that allegedly decrypt docks and measures such as religiously inadmissible and morally not defensive actions in Moroccan ports.

Finally, he addressed himself directly to King Mohammed VI and referred to his role as chairman of the Al-QuDS committee and commander of the faithful. Benkirane asked the king to intervene and take a permanent attitude to stop the continued massacre and atrocities that insisted that “none of us can accept”.
The 9th National Congress of the PJD is planned for April 26th to 27th. In particular, the Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch is not expected.
