Bayern Munich was host Werder Bremen, hoping to keep their stripes alive at the top of the Bundesliga.
CESC Fabregas and Como welcomed Juventus for a showdown in Serie A.
And Paris Saint-Germain dueled with Monaco in a fiery French derby.

Bayern Munich strengthened its grip in the Bundesliga with a 3-0 victory over Werder Bremen in the Allianz Arena.
After a frustrating first half, in which the hosts could not break through the disciplined defense of Bremen, they returned from the interval with new intensity and ultimately overwhelmed their visitors.
Harry Kane came closest before the break, rattled the crossbar and later sent a header a few centimeters wide, but Bremen held tight.
The Deadlock was finally broken in the 56th minute when Kane converted a penalty after a handball from Jung.
Leroy Sane doubled the leadership of Bayern in the 82nd minute and ended up close to a low cross from Konrad Laimer.
When Werder tried to react, Kane sealed the victory deep into added time with another calm punishment after Musiala was fouled into the box.

Randal Kolo Muanani’s impressive start to life at Juventus continued when his clip secured a highly competitive 2-1 victory against Como.
The hosts were far from it, but thanks to their new Talisman, who turned out to be crucial in front of the goal.
Juventus first struck in the 34th minute when Nicolas González threaded a perfect pass through Kolo Muani, who switched to his right foot before pushed an unstoppable shot into the upper corner.
Como, the better side for large parts of the first half, found a well -deserved compensation part in injury time. Patrick Cutrone kept a loose ball alive before delivering a cut cross to the rear post, where Assane Diao bundled him home to make it 1-1.
The second half remained a close matter, but Juventus received a late punishment. Kolo Muani appeared confidently, sent Rudez in the wrong direction and hit the upper left corner to seal all three points.

Paris Saint-Germain expanded her lead at the head of the Ligue 1 to 13 points with a 4-1 win over Monaco in the Princes Parc.
Despite the first half of the competition, Luis Enrique’s team pulled away after the break and scored three unanswered goals to seal a resounding victory.
Vitinha’s clever free kick opened the gate within six minutes and caught Monaco’s defense surprised. However, the visitors reacted well and, after a well -worked step with SOUNGOUTOU Magassa through Denis Zakaria.
The first half remained an end-to-end matter, with both sides achieving opportunities, but it was PSG that emerged from the interval with new intensity.
A quick-fire double in the second half swung the game in favor of PSG. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia showed his skills with a dazzling solo effort in the 54th minute before Ousmane Dembele added a third moment later after he had teamed up with Desire Doue. Monaco had her moments, with Embolo, Golovin and Akliouche, all of which were threatening, but the quality of PSG proved too much.
