Barcelona has made another attempt to re-register players Dani Olmo and Pau Victor, the club confirmed on Tuesday.
The Catalan giants announced they had submitted applications for Olmo and Victor to the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) just hours before the midnight registration deadline.
Barcelona also rejected claims that it had asked governing bodies to delay their registrations.
In a short statement, the club said: “Barcelona informs that it has applied to the RFEF for a new license for the players Daniel Olmo and Pau Victor.
“The club wishes to deny that it has sought or received a moratorium on these registrations from any governing body.”

On Monday, Barcelona lost a second appeal to register the players for the rest of the season because the club could not meet La Liga’s salary cap.
If the 27-time league winner fails in his last attempt, Olmo and Victor will be free agents after the deadline.
However, they could meet the economic requirements to sign both players before the transfer window closes in February, but according to Rfef rules, a player cannot be signed by the same club twice in the same season.
Olmo, who played a prominent role in Spain’s Euro 2024 triumph in the summer, has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave the club if the club do not report him.
Barcelona signed the 26-year-old attacking midfielder from RB Leipzig in August for around £45 million, but he was only signed for the first half of the season.
The club was initially able to register both Olmo and Victor due to first-team players suffering long-term injuries, which under La Liga rules allowed Barcelona to temporarily use up to 80% of a player’s salary on a substitute in the event of an injury.
However, Olmo missed the first two games of the season due to delays in his La Liga registration caused by Barcelona’s ongoing financial difficulties.
The current situation with Olmo and Victor is another chapter in the club’s ongoing financial saga as they continue to violate La Liga’s financial rules.
Leading Catalan newspaper El Mundo Deportivo claims the club was already looking at other ways to generate revenue that would boost its hopes of re-registering players, including selling VIP plans at the revamped Camp Nou stadium.
