During the 8th edition of the Tanger-Med automotive assemblies, two partnership agreements in Tanger were signed to strengthen the Moroccan automotive industry.
The first between several ministries, the national agency to promote employment and skills (ANAPAP) and the Moroccan Association for Industry and Construction of the Automobile (AMICA) aims to develop skills and to promote employment in the automotive industry by fulfilling qualified talents for the needs of companies.
The second agreement between the Ministry of Industry and Amica focuses on the increase in local integration in order to increase the added value of the exports of the car and the components and to strengthen the competitiveness of the sector.
These initiatives are involved in a context in which the Moroccan automotive sector reached a record turnover of 157 billion dirhams for export in 2024 and the position of Morocco as an African leader and important player in the mobility of tomorrow, with electric vehicles being produced by Stellantis and Renault.
