Aston Villa in Tottenham Match Preview
Tottenham will want to avoid falling two cups in four days if you face the star in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Spurs had a 1-0 lead against Liverpool from the first leg of her Carabao Cup semi-final, but was crushed on Thursday with 4-0 in Anfield. As another opportunity for a trophy park in Villa Park, the pressure on postecoglou would increase.
Postecoglou said after the defeat on Thursday: “I am currently getting the stack. It’s really easy for people to stick their boots and question the players – but I don’t wonder.
“We were disappointed last night that we didn’t go the way we wanted it, and we didn’t appear on the levels – but that does not define this group of players in my eyes.
“We are currently an easy sign. Obviously, it is an absolute disaster to make a semi -finals because we didn’t play well. I assume that we would have managed to do no semi -finals in a better place.

The villa itself licks its wounds from a disappointing defeat against rival Wolves the last time, but had a full week to recover, and will hope that their new obligations will give them an upswing against the North London.
Marcus Rashford was the marquee in January after he was borrowed from Manchester United. Unai Emery also strengthened his squad with Marco Asensio, Donyell Malen, Axel Disasi and Andres Garcia.
Spurs won their last two games against Villa with a total margin of 8: 1, including a 4-1 win over the team of Emery in November. Since then, however, they have only won three times in the league.

Rashford is in line to give his Villa debut in the cup and could even start at the front after striker Ollie Watkins had been excluded for the stalkers after he had gone against wolves at halftime.
He joins Tyrone Mings, Pau Torres, Matty Cash and Ross Barkley on the absent list. In the third round, new Signing -Disassi for Chelsea has also presented.
Asensio could also give his Villa debut after moving from PSG, while Malen was able to contribute to his two previous Villa appearances.
Tottenham has no returning players for the game, and Richarlison is the latest who joins her big list of injury.
That means Guglielmo Vicario, Radu Dragusin, Wilson Odobert, Dominic Solanke, James Maddison, Micky van de Ven, Destiny Udogie, Cristian Romero, Timo Werner and Brennan Johnson miss everyone.
Mathys Tel, who replaced Richarlison early in Liverpool, was able to start the first start after moving from Bayern Munich.
