Assilah: funeral of the former minister of AE, Mohamed Benaïssa


The funeral of the late Mohamed Benaïssa, former Foreign and Cultural Minister, took place in Assilah on Sunday.

After the prayer of al-Asr and death in the Grand Mosque of Assilah, the body of the deceased was transferred to the mausoleum of Zaouïa Aïssaouia in the heart of the medina, where it was buried in the presence of her family, her relatives and her friends. Personalities who participated in the ceremony included, in particular, the Secretary General of the Government, the Foreign Minister, the African Cooperation and the Moroccans living abroad, the Minister of Justice, the Minister of Equipment and Water as well as the Minister for Economic Integration, Small Company, Employment and Competence.

Many other personalities of the political, cultural and artistic landscape as well as representatives of local authorities and political parties were also present.

The former chief of Moroccan diplomacy died last Friday in Morocco and abroad. In a message, Sm King Mohammed VI sent his condolences to the members of the late family and pressed all of his relatives and friends in Morocco and the foreigner “his lively condolences and sincere compassion”.
