In Buffy the Vampire SlayerOur title hero and your brave team of allies have a delightful nickname: the Scooby gang. In the university there was Xander, who gave his group of friends a nickname for the first time, which would follow them until the end of the series. He did this in the episode of the second season “What is my line? Part one”, but what most fans do not recognize is that Joss Whedon and the show producers had built into this nickname from the past through a constant stream from Easter eggs.
The Buffy Scooby Gang information
What an early kind Buffy Easter eggs indicated that our hero and your crew would be called the Scooby gang? In the episode of the first season “Never killing a boy on the first date” we see that Willow a Rockt A Scooby-thoo Lunch box. This creates the friendly Geek as a fan of the classic cartoon, which is why she as a result of the first season “Out of Mind, Off Sight, Off Sight” and as a result of the second season “School Hard” it probably bears a scooby-do-t-shirt.
And Willow is not the only member of the Scooby gang who wears an official merch from Hanna Barbera’s cartoon. Xander also wears a scooby doo shirt in the episode of the second season “When She is Bad” and subsequently the first season “Out Off Mind, Off Sight”. This latter episode also contains a memorable moment when Xander emulates the scooby character of Shaggy with the line “Can you say ‘swallow?'”.
In other words, Xander’s love for all things has been proven very early in the series. So it is no surprise that he is the buffy character that first his group “The Scooby Gang” in “What is my line?” Part one. “While it was easy to overlook, the show spent about a and a half season to refer us to Scooby and his friends before Xander officially dropped her catchy group name.
As soon as Buffy and her friends had this cheeky nickname, the show authors never wasted the opportunity to mention the Scooby gang in various episodes by names. Interestingly, certain characters put on certain characters of the name … for example Xander and Faith used both the term “scooby gang” preferred by fans. However, Willow strangely uses the term “Scooby Corps” subsequently “The I in Team”, and Spike uses the term “Scooby Club” in “This Year’s Girl”.
For Buffy Fans who loved the term “Scooby Gang” went on Meta in 2002. That was the year in the leadership Buffy Actor Sarah Michelle Gellar appeared as a daphne in the live action Scooby-thoo Film, a role that she repeated in 2004. A hunter simply brought this cartoon to life that we had never seen before.
There you have, people: the Buffy The crew, which was called the nickname as a scooby gang, was not only a sudden creative decision by Joss Whedon or his deputy Xander. Instead, the nickname was a highlight of several pop culture information on all favorite members of Mystery, Inc. and While Buffy the Vampire Slayer is a show in which the monsters are very real, characters like Principal Snyder and Mayor Wilkins will soon teach the main lesson of Scooby-Doo: Sometimes the real monsters are simply shady people with Away Too much to hide.
