The Federal Aviation Administration examines a collision of Midair from one American airlines Regional beam with a helicopter near the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport outside of Washington, DC
The PSA Airlines Bombardier CRJ700 regional Jetliner collided with an H-60 helicopter from Sikorsky, while the passenger jet was on the Runway 33 at the airport, the FAA said. Flight 5342 arrived from Wichita, Kansas.

Local officials confirmed that at least one plane was in the Potomac River. Images on social media showed a great presence of emergency services. Reagan Washington National was closed, said the FAA.
American airlines Posted on X That it was aware of the incident and would provide information as soon as it became available.
According to the airline’s website, the CRJ-700 aircraft have 65 seats.
The National Transportation Safety Board will guide the investigation of the incident.
