Allison Holker explains her book about life with husband Stephen
Allison Holker has released an official statement after a few intense days as a trending topic. We’re only halfway through the week, but this is the second time she’s taken to social media to raise concerns about the intimate details she’s shared about life with her late husband and his alleged drug addiction. Stephen ‘tWitch’ Boss died in December 2022 from self-inflicted damage. He was 40 years old.

In her statement, she discussed the upcoming release of her book, “This Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Light.” She reached out to Stephen’s family, friends and supporters on Instagram Stories and shared that she hopes her book can help another family. She admitted that she will “never really know what happened” and that she is trying to put together the pieces that she can.
“If you choose to read the book, I hope you will see that my intention is to celebrate the love and life I shared with Stephen and our three wonderful children, but also the more complex aspects of both of our lives . I hope that by sharing our full story, I might be able to help someone else who sees themselves or a loved one in Stephen.”
Allison added that she hopes sharing can help another family “spot some of the warning signs” they missed before it’s too late. Holker also clarified that her writing was based on two years of conversations with the National Alliance on Mental Illness and The Defensive Line (a mental health community). Proceeds from the book will benefit Move with Kindness, her foundation in honor of her husband. Swipe down to see the full explanation.
“My hope is that we don’t have to lose another husband, brother, father or friend to suicide. I believe that if Stephen could choose, he would choose to have his story told if it means saving even one life. Much love to everyone who has supported our family over many years.”
Which led to Allison Holker’s second statement
It looks like Allison has already started the press campaign for the book’s release next month. Since then, social media has boomed PEOPLE announced a refusal to sit with Allison earlier this week. In it, she reveals that she found drugs in Stephen Boss’ closet while cleaning it out and choosing a funeral outfit.
The moment of honesty was not felt on social media, nor was an alleged cousin of Stephen Boss named Darielle. The relative made bombshell accusations on Darielle also accused Holker of wanting to “tarnish” Stephen’s legacy.
Allison hasn’t spoken to the cousin directly yet. However, she responded to another user who said she was embarrassing Twitch with her PEOPLE interview. “I’m just trying to make people feel safe to ask for help and support.” she wrote in a comments section.
