Rabat – In the middle of a diplomatic crisis, the Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune recently changed his tone, which indicates that his country has confidence in the French president to solve the rift that emerges between the two countries.
Tebboune made his comments during an interview with journalists from public media on Saturday and found that he saw Emmanuel Macron as the “only indication” for combating the crisis.
“In order not to get into the noise or political chaos there, I would only say three words: We hold President Macron as the only reference point,” he said, describing the crisis between the two countries as the “moment of misunderstanding”.
For Tebboune, all problems with Macron or the person should be solved that he delegates, with the foreign ministers of the two countries referring.
Tebboune’s statements seemed to have addressed French civil servants who called on the French government to take a permanent attitude against Algeria’s regime that was not ready to bring back its deported nationals from France.
France filed a list of Algerians who were subjected to the deportation, including a suspect who was involved in the recent Mulhouse, but Algeria rejected the inquiries, with the counter -reactions and frustration of several French ministers, including Interior Minister Bruno Disadvantage and Justice Minister Gerald Intestinal.
Retailleau has even threatened to leave the government when Algeria refuses to work together and said that his government has to “change the passage” with Algeria.
For his part, Darmin asked his government to remember the ambassador of France in protest against Algeria’s reluctance and also end diplomatic passes that enable some Algerians to get medical treatment or shopping in France without visa.
In addition to the deportation dossier, France also exposed himself to the decision to capture the well -known writer Boualem sense. The police arrested the author in mid -November for undergraving national security.
In a strong speech, Macron Algeria accused Algeria of preventing medical treatment in January to prevent the writer who suffers from cancer.
“Algeria doesure himself by preventing a severe sick man from getting adequate care,” said Macron.
Anger about France’s newly discovered position on the Sahara
Algeria’s latest diplomatic mistakes are all part of the increasing tension between the two countries since the newly discovered position of Paris on the Western Sahara.
France recognized the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Morocco in July last year in the southern provinces in Western Sahara. The decision followed Macron’s historical visit to Morocco, and since then French officials have visited the North African country and made travel to the southern provinces in particular.
These official trips are the first of its kind to strengthen France’s unshakable support for the territorial integrity of Morocco.
These removals, together with statements published on official French channels, were the disputes of the government of Tebboune, although the Algerian president said that the friendship between Paris and Rabat “does not disturb” at all.
The claims come when Algeria’s regime continues to make France’s decision over the Sahara maneuver. The regime in Algeria hosts, finance, weapons and supports the Polisario front and its independence claims in Westernsahara.
