A 42-year-old French-Algerian man was arrested for drug trafficking after a hint from the French authorities in Casablanca.
The suspect had been on the run since 2019 and was arrested in a great security operation on Friday after his name was marked in the Interpol database. France had published a red announcement for his arrest and accused him of being an important player in an extensive international drug syndicate.

Currently in custody, the man is now from delivery to France, with Moroccan officials working quickly to send the necessary documents to secure his transmission.
In a similar case last October last October in Marrakech due to similar charges. The suspect was caught with the help of Moroccan intelligence agencies for the trade of a variety of illegal substances.
Last month, a notorious French drug king, known as “The Cat”, was delivered from Morocco and will take a court in Marseille after a bloody gang war in the city.
Félix Bingui, 34, the feared leader of the infamous “Yoda” clan, was arrested last March after a global search in Casablanca. He is preparing to explain serious charges such as drug trafficking, money laundering and not to explain his bad fortune.
The violence that broke out in early 2023 began when Bingui reported a bowl of ice in a prominent member of the competition “DZ Mafia” in a Thai nightclub. Just a few months later, Bingui’s brother -in -law Omar “Scar” was shot in Spain.
Bingui fled to Morocco and was finally tracked down by France’s anti-drug office (OFAST), who successfully requested his delivery. Morocco approved the request and the drug lord was blown back to France.
These recent operations show that Morocco is committed to the fight against organized crimes and is working closely with international partners to put criminals in court.
