Algerian court sentence writer Sanal up to five years in prison

On Thursday on Thursday, Boualem Sansal, whose case was the focus of a diplomatic storm, condemned an Algerian court behind bars for five years. The author is known for his criticism of Algerian authorities and Islamists. He was arrested in November and was on trial because he had undermined Algeria’s territorial integrity after he had ceded unjust Moroccan territory to Algeria in an interview with a right -wing extremist French media company during the colonial era.
