Alexander-Arnold is “fully committed,” says Slot, given Real Madrid’s interest
Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold remains fully committed to the club and will play against Manchester United on Sunday, says coach Arne Slot.
Spanish giants Real Madrid are reportedly interested in signing the English full-back, who can leave Anfield on a free transfer this summer.
The latest reports suggest Real are interested in a move this month, but Slot has no concerns about hiring his player ahead of the second half of the Premier League season after speaking to him.
He said: “I completely understand the question and why you’re asking it, but you already know the answer: I’ve never shared these conversations, not about Trent, not about others, about what I talk to them about.”
“It was a conversation like many others we’ve had, me and Trent, so we’ll leave it at that.

“I can tell you that he will play on Sunday and hopefully he will perform the same as he has in the last six months, because everyone has seen how great he was in the first half of the season, how much he has here, how much he wants here win.
“I see him working his ass off every day at the training ground. He is fully behind us and will play on Sunday.
“If having other people talk about them destabilized the Liverpool players then we would really have a problem because when you play for one of the biggest clubs in the world everyone is always – for 12 months – talking about you, sometimes even in .” Relationship with other clubs.
“This happens so often to our players. If that destabilized them, we would have really had a problem, not just now but also in the last six months because there have been some conversations about our players in the last six months and I don’t think it destabilizes them at all has.”
Like Alexander-Arnold, key players Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are also out of contract at the end of the season.
