In coordination with the Royal Navy, the Royal Naval Gendarmerie managed to thwart an international drug trafficking in the Ras Sidi Abed region near Al Hocey. The operation enabled the seizure of 7 and a half tons of drugs (Chira), which were on board 3 traditional fishing boats. Four people who were suspected of being involved in this criminal activity were arrested.
