Airline blames “physical and technical interference” for plane crash in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan Airlines said on Friday that preliminary results of an investigation into the plane that crashed in Kazakhstan indicated “physical and technical interference from outside sources,” and speculation grew that the plane was hit by a Russian air defense system. The Russian aviation chief suggested that Ukrainian combat drones may have caused the crash.
