Air Arabia Maroc opens Rabat-Oujda route

Low-cost airline Air Arabia Maroc operated its first flight from Rabat-Salé Airport to Oujda-Angad Airport on Thursday. This service follows the launch of two new airlines connecting the Kingdom’s capital with the cities of Oujda and Nador.

These two airlines, launched with the support of the Oriental Region, are part of a joint effort aimed at strengthening air connections between cities in the region and other cities in the Kingdom and promoting economic development and tourism in the East, said the company.

Note that two agreements approved by the Council during the regular meeting in October 2024 required an estimated investment of DH24.30 million to support the launch of these two direct lines at preferential rates for a period of more than three years, which is extendable. Three return flights per week are planned for the Rabat-Oujda route: Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday in winter and Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday in summer
