As Google And OpenAI further boost the field of video generation with their respective AI models, runwayanother notable player in this category, is looking to expand the reach of these advanced systems. Today the New York-based company announced a new version Talent Network This helps brands, agencies and studios hire AI filmmakers.
Starting today, global creatives, artists and companies specializing in AI video tools – like those at Runway – can use the network to showcase their work and connect with people looking for talent in the industry. The platform already hosts dozens of independent AI artists specializing in different areas, as well as production houses.
The move offers double benefits. First, it acts as a much-needed bridge to help companies looking to accelerate their creative workflows with AI find and hire the right AI video talent for their needs. Second, it also provides Runway with the opportunity to accelerate the adoption of its video models into companies’ creative workflows. The company itself points out that many members of the talent network come from within the company Creative affiliate programwhere they have exclusive access to new runway tools and AI models.
What to expect from Runway Talent Network
Even though creating an AI video is a breeze these days, companies are well aware that most of the tools available are still not good enough to replace the depth and authenticity of human-led video projects. While the tools help automate multiple aspects of the creative workflow and increase efficiency, it still requires experts who can make the most of the models and convert the AI clips into high-quality, production-quality content.
This essentially means hiring professionals – from creative directors and artists to colorists and video editors – who specialize in AI video tools and can quickly use them to conceptualize what companies want, pre-production clips in various styles (in consistent with the concept) and then put everything together with sounds and other elements to prepare the final video/film.
So far, finding such talent has proven to be a challenge as teams struggle to integrate AI into their project workflows.
“With tens of millions of users and many thousands of companies now using Runway, we’ve heard time and time again that one of the most common needs is to find new talent and professionals to help integrate AI into various workflows – from design to implementation Pre-production through to the final images. ” runway noted in a Blog post.
To fill this gap, the company launched the Runway Talent Network, enabling independent creatives, artists and production companies to showcase their work using AI video tools and be discovered by potential brands, agencies and studios looking for talent for the Find content production for films. TV shows, commercials or even games.

The platform already has dozens of members, including those who participate in Runway’s Creative Partner Program and have exclusive access to the company’s latest AI models and tools. Some of these members are also early adopters of video AI and are pioneering new workflows in their industry, Runway added.
Production companies currently on the network include Tool, Builders Club, Silverside, Obsidian, Zukunft, (AI)imagination and Harmony Korine’s digital IP-based studio EDGLRD.
More members will be added soon
Since the network was just announced, it’s fair to say that the list of members showcasing their AI work will continue to grow in the coming weeks. Runway has already set one up Google form with a series of questions to get more artists and production companies on board. However, the company notes that it may not be able to respond to every submission due to high volume.
Notably, Runway will also launch a separate version Job exchangeHere, agencies and brands hiring AI-enabled talent can post job openings with their requirements and invite potential candidates to apply. It remains unclear when this will go live.
