The Moroccan senior selection won 11 medals at the African International Judo Open in Casablanca, including one gold (for Ahmed Alaoui Cherifi -60 kg), 6 silver and 4 bronze, placing 4th overall.
In the juniors, Morocco largely dominated with 29 medals (8 gold, 8 silver and 13 bronze) and also won 24 medals in the cadets (6 gold, 12 silver and 6 bronze).
The event brought together 304 athletes from 34 countries and was praised for its organization and refereeing.
