AC Milan are now reportedly very interested in Chelsea attacker Joao Felix.
The Serie A giants are considering a move for the Portugal international, Sky Deutschland have suggested.
Felix only moved from Atlético Madrid to Chelsea in the summer. He moved to Stamford Bridge in a deal worth £42m plus £4.3m in add-ons.
He signed a seven-year contract but now he could be taken over by the club amid foreign interests.
The journalist Florian Plettenberg posted on Xformerly known as Twitter: “I understand that AC Milan are now very interested in Joao Felix. There are currently no signs of a transfer for Marcus Rashford. Due to the huge financial package, the negotiations are complicated.”
It comes after TeamTalk reported that the new Milan coach Sergio Conceicao really wants to bring his Portuguese compatriot to San Siro. It is believed the coach’s familiarity with Felix and shared representation by agent Jorge Mendes could pave the way for a potential deal.
Milan are aiming for Felix on loan with an option to buy, while Chelsea are currently waiting for either a permanent transfer or a loan with an obligation to buy. Negotiations between the clubs are ongoing and discussions are expected to continue in the coming days, according to TeamTalk.
Which Chelsea players does AC Milan like?
In addition to Felix, Milan are exploring options to sign more Chelsea players – the Rossoneri have inquired about Ben Chilwell – who is liked by Evertonas Caught offside revealed – Carney Chukwuemeka, Christopher Nkunku and Tosin Adarabioyo who can all go.
Chilwell has emerged as a candidate to strengthen Milan’s left-back position amid ongoing uncertainty over Theo Hernandez’s future at the Italian club. Even if the Frenchman extends his contract, Milan see Chilwell as a valuable addition, especially as he is reportedly not part of Enzo Maresca’s plans.
TeamTalk also say that Milan have continued to be interested in Chukwuemeka in recent months and the club have been in contact with Chelsea about the midfielder over a possible move to the San Siro club.
