Rogers Downs Celtic
Atalanta would have hoped for a Celtic victory in Villa Park, but it shouldn’t be that a Morgan Rogers Hattrick was the inspiration for the 4-2 victory of the home team.
Lille achieved an even more emphatic victory and hammered Feyenoord 6-1 with Gernot Trauner.
Manchester City received the victory they needed to secure a playoff place and scored 1-0 at half-time to beat the Club Brugge 3-1, because Mateo Kovacic and Savinho on both sides of their own goal by Joel Ordonez.
Club Brugge used to do enough in the competition to also qualify.
Stuttgart was the team who missed after a 4-1 defeat against the rejuvenated Paris Saint-Germain, for whom Ousmane Dembele scored a hat trick.
Liverpool finish top
Liverpool took the top, even though he had lost 3-2 for a much changed Liverpool team at PSV Eindhoven, Cody Gakpo and Harvey Elliott.
