A US airstrike in Somalia kills two Al-Shabaab members, including the top commander

The U.S. military said Thursday that it carried out an airstrike in southern Somalia that killed two members of the al-Qaeda-linked group Al-Shabaab, including a senior commander. According to US Africa Command (AFRICOM), the attack, carried out in coordination with the Somali federal government, targeted an area southwest of Quyno Barrow on Tuesday.
