The ABABOU gallery of ABLA organizes an exhibition from April 19 to May 30 to May 30, which brings together the contrasting but complementary worlds of two artists and life partners, Florence Arnold and Christophe Miralles.
āThis art show brings together two artists who are also a couple: Florence Arnold and Christophe Miralles. Despite their clearly different artistic worlds, their works complement each other beautiful,ā said Ababou, gallery owner, Morocco World News. āFlorence works a bit like heaven with light and air and air. On the other hand, Christophe is more grounded, more rooted in the earth.ā
Arnold, born in France and grew up in several African countries, including Morocco, Cote DāIvoire and Cameroon, says her artistic approach is deeply influenced by light. āThatās why I use many LEDs in my sculptures. It is my way of celebrating heights, lightness and ascent.ā
It also brings the same sensitivity into her pictures. āYou will notice these facets, these corners. They are very sensitive and I try to infuse them with light. For this specific piece of Christophe, I have added the drawing upwards. There is a gentle dialog between our two approaches.ā
In contrast, Miralles focuses on the human element. āI have been painting for several years and my work consistently revolves around people. What interests me is our relationship with humanity, who we are, where we go.ā
One of his paintings on the show shows: āTwo floating figures that are suspended in a world that reflects our current reality, a feeling of drift, uncertainty about the future.ā He adds: āYes, the blue background you see is part of a tripty chat. It is very colorful. My goal was to explore the use of color and also integrate animals alongside people. Both are available in these works.ā
Your work together, says Arnold, is a unique weight. āThis is probably the only job that we can say that we both really love because it is not just mine. It belongs to us.ā
The exhibition also supported the private sector. Groupe Mfadel, a Moroccan real estate developer, sponsors the art show.
āWe are proud to sponsor this exhibition because it arrives intensively with us,ā says Yassine Mfadel, CEO of the company. āThere is a strong parallel between real estate development and artistic creation. If we introduce our projects, we want to infuse them with artistic sensitivity.ā
He continues: āWe want every project to bring a touch of art and contribute to the visual identity of the cities in which we are present. The support of artists also makes sense. They produce thoughtful, inspiring work. We see it as our responsibility to stand for them and to support this noble craft.ā
