Details on TikTok star’s arrest after spraying chemicals on Walmart items

Charles Smith, aka Wolfie Kahleti, filmed himself in a now-deleted video wearing a black hoodie and pink bandana while spraying toxic chemicals over Walmart items at a store southeast of Phoenix, according to the New York Post. During the recording, he doused a variety of foods with chemicals, including bananas, apples, lemons, oranges and even some plastic-wrapped rotisserie chickens. After spraying the items, Kahletti filmed himself throwing them into a cart and throwing them away.

Police said Khaletti intentionally entered Walmart with the intention of filming the prank for his TikTok account. In addition, the authorities announced ABC7Chicago that Wolfie Kahletti caused nearly $1,000 worth of damage to the products.

Fox10 states that Khaletti is charged with introducing poison and three misdemeanors: criminal damage, endangerment and theft. On December 21st he voluntarily turned himself in to the police.

Walmart speaks out after Wolfie Kahletti video goes viral

After Wolfie Kahletti’s video went viral, a spokesperson responded to the incident. The Walmart spokesperson told the New York Post that the affected products were removed and the store was cleaned. The New York Post reports that a conviction for tampering with consumer products could bring the suspects between five and 20 years in prison.
