The Guinness World Records are known for highlighting the most interesting, unique and even strange occurrences in human nature around the world.
2024 was no exception.
Earlier this year we wrote about a toddler who became a child The youngest male artist in the Guinness Book of Records after his paintings were featured in an exhibition at the Museum of Science and Technology in Accra, Ghana. Painter Ace-Liam Nana Sam Ankrah ultimately sold nine of the ten pieces on display.
We shared stories about a 114-year-old man in Venezuela and a 112 year old man in England each of whom had, for a time, the honor of being the oldest man in the world George and Lori Schappellwho, according to Guinness, were the oldest living conjoined twins in the world.
Then there was this the heaviest blueberry in the worldwhich weighed in at 20.4 grams, almost 70 times more than an average wild blueberry. The “huge blueberry“was grown in Australia and was about the size of a ping pong ball.

The largest building in the shape of a chicken. This achievement is attributed to Ricardo Cano Gwapo Tan and occurred on September 8, 2024 in the Philippines. The chicken was 114 feet tall. The building depicts a rooster and is a hotel in the Campuestohan Highland Resort.
The biggest recording marathon by several musicians. On February 14, 2024, Idem Abasifreke and Beatisblaak Studio in Nigeria achieved this feat. It lasted 95 hours and 59 minutes.
The fastest 10 meters on a skateboard by a cat. This occurred on April 4, 2024 and was accomplished by Bao Zi in China. The time: 12.85 seconds.
The largest exhibition of origami dolphins. This happened on July 10, 2024 in London. According to Guinness World Records, Iswarya Sundaralingam made the 2,024 items within eight weeks. A nurse who worked on the ward where her mother had been in a coma taught her how to make them.
The largest championship in whistle archery. On September 29, 2024, this record was broken by 300 people in China. According to GWR, the championship was won by the Linzhi Whistling Archery Association. It was one of several events held at the 2024 Linzhi Yarlung Zangbo River Ecological Culture Tourism Festival.
