Morocco has confirmed his wish to share his specialist knowledge of the digitization of statistical systems with African countries, said Zakaria El Faiz during the 57th meeting of the Economic Commission for Africa (CEA) in Addis Ababa. He remembered the success of the completely digital census, which was carried out in Morocco in 2024.
The kingdom undertakes to work with CEA and its partners to develop economic studies and to improve the quality of statistical data. The harmonized data production remains an important challenge for African countries.
El Faiz also underlined the lack of precise data on investments and productivity in the countries of the continent. A Moroccan study has shown that reducing economic distortions in the processing business could strengthen competitiveness.
This session, chaired by Morocco under the topic of Zlecaf, is located and deals with important topics such as digitization, technology, nutritional security and energy conversion.
