Former English international Stuart Pearce recovered in the hospital in Canada after suffering a medical emergency on board a flight from the USA.
The 62-year-old had been in Las Vegas and visited the Super League collision between Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves when he got sick on his house in a virgin Atlantic.
After the treatment on board, a decision for the plane was made to make an emergency landing, although Talksport colleague from Pearc, Sam Macha, was “in a great mood”.
Machineface, who reports from the game between Nottingham Forest and Manchester City-Zwei of the former Pearc-Clubs, the Forest won 1-0: “I spoke to him (Pearce) yesterday, he is in a great atmosphere.
“He is not 100%, this is definitely the case, but it is in the right place, he is in the hospital. You are dealing with it.
“He is a bit disappointed not to be here today (the city floor), he was most frustrated about it.
Psycho. ❤️

“He actually said to me: ‘I have so much that I had to cancel. Some great games, and Mumford and sons play on Wednesday evening and I can’t go now. He wasn’t happy about it. He is in a good mood. “
Applause was heard from followers at the game after three minutes – the number that Pearce wore during his career – while news on screens in the stadium were: “Soon good, Stuart”.
Pearce, who was considered a violent and intimidating competitor during his career and referred to as “psycho”, appeared 78 times for England.
He was part of the three Lions team, which reached the semi-finals both at the 1990 World Cup and the 1996 European Championship, and was in 2012 for a game for a game of the men’s national team.
