If you are a fan of horror legend Joe Bob Briggs, you know that Rednecks are an integral part of Hollywood story. These salt characters can shine in every genre, but they work particularly well when it comes to horror. And if you want to see the greatest Redneck horror comedy with R-rating that has ever been done, you are lucky because Tucker & dale against evil Streaming now for free on Tubi.
Tucker and Dale vs. Teuflisch
The plot of Tucker & dale against evil Includes our title characters who simply try to enjoy a weekend in this best -known horror location: a cabin in the forest. However, they keep encountering a group of college students with freshly secured camping, from which they protect themselves from drowning after they have hit their heads. This means that the Co-EDs assume that they were kidnapped by evil Redneck, and their fatally awkwardly awkward poses believe that they really Are Murdered by murderous Hillbillies lurking in the forest.
If it is not obvious Tucker & dale against evil is a kind of meta-horror comedy in which we have a genre basic food-evil Redneck vision from a different perspective. The college students look at our title figures through the lens of a creepy film and see them as rude wild to sacrifice a young girl. In the meantime, We See that the potential victims are actually the unintentional architects of their own death and die in increasingly exaggerated species that never entertain.
Tucker & dale against evil Had a relatively small line -up of Veteranenenre actors. Our lead antagonist is played by Jess Moss (known for the Whistler TV show) and our Damsel in need is played by Katrina Bowden (still known for her hilarious role 30 rock). But nobody steals the show like our title Redneck Duo, played by Tyler Labine (especially known for the New Amsterdam TV show) and Alan Tudyk (the best known for Firefly and different Disney Animated functions).
Through a land mile (as our Rednecks may say), Tucker & dale against evil is one of the funniest horror comedies that you will ever see. Unfortunately, the box office was not a laughing affair: against a budget of 5 million US dollars, it earned only 5.2 to 5.5 million dollars. After the film had become a cult classic, there were talks about a sequel, but Star Alan Tudyk later confirmed in 2017 that these plans were dead for a disappointing script on arrival.
Fortunately for the stars as well as for the director and cowriter Eli Craig, Tucker & dale against evil He managed to win film critics in a large way. Critics generally praised the film for its fine mixture of humor and horror and at the same time praised his surprising amount of heart and made them the most accessible (and still funniest!) It is possible to enjoy this as a humorous subversion of an entire genre and as a metate text that force us to examine our own assumptions via Redneck.
