Enko Education Group announces a $24 million investment from Africa Capitalworks (ACW) and Adiwale Fund I. This funding aims to triple the number of students and reach 20,000 learners by 2029 thanks to an ambitious acquisition strategy.
Faced with the challenge of access to higher education in Africa, where only 9% of students continue their studies, Enko Education has established itself as a key player. Their model is based on world-class primary and secondary education and allows admission to prestigious universities around the world.
Since its founding in 2014, the network has grown to 16 schools in 10 countries and educates more than 7,000 students. Enko Education’s 1,700 graduates have joined prestigious institutions such as Yale, Sciences Po and the University of Toronto.
“We want to increase access to quality education and open the doors of the best universities to African students,” says Cyrille Nkontchou, co-founder of the group.
Thanks to this fundraising, Enko Education aims to increase the acquisition of schools, relying on institutions with high standards, such as the École Bilingue Avenir in Senegal or the Cours Lumière in Togo.
ACW and Adiwale welcome this goal and believe that this expansion will help structure the market for African international schools while having a strong social impact on education on the continent.
