A hearing is scheduled for later this month. Simin accused the elder Umansky of physically, verbally and emotionally abusing her while they were together for nearly two decades.

Last year, 54-year-old Mauricio and his sister Sharon Umansky Benton tried to place Eduardo under a guardianship. They accused Simin of keeping him away from his family and exploiting him.

The court appointed Mauricio and Sharon as joint administrators of Eduardo’s estate. Sharon then filed a restraining order against Simin, claiming her father’s ex-partner had been physical with her.

Simin denied the allegations and filed her own request for a restraining order against Sharon. Ultimately, The explosion reported that the judge issued a permanent restraining order in favor of Sharon.

Sharon then filed a motion for a restraining order against Simin on behalf of Eduardo. The petition alleged that Simin had “verbally, physically and financially” abused Eduardo for many years.

Sharon explained that the first signs of threats and abuse emerged about ten years ago, but it was difficult to fully grasp what was happening. Around August or September 2022, the situation began to worsen.

After Sharon made a reasonable argument in court, Eduardo eventually won a restraining order against his former partner.

Eduardo Umansky’s ex shared that she was afraid of the 81-year-old

Simin returned the favor by filing a petition for an “injunction against elder abuse.” She described Eduardo as her former boyfriend and asked the court to order him to stay at least 100 meters away from her.

Simin added that Eduardo abused her on December 4, 2024. “I’m afraid of (Eduardo),” she began, adding that she was in a relationship with the 81-year-old for 18 years during which she suffered a series of abusive and abusive behavior.

She claimed that Eduardo “physically abused me on multiple occasions, resulting in injuries.” He is also said to have punched her in the face and arms, kicked her in the legs, pushed her to the ground and choked her.

Simin attached photos of her alleged injuries as evidence to her petition, stating that the events caused me not only physical harm but also emotional distress.

According to her, Eduardo “has a long history of verbal abuse, frequently using demeaning and profane language towards me in public and in front of others. He repeatedly told me to ‘shut up,’ among other demeaning comments.”

Simin argued in her petition that she hoped her former partner would grow out of his abusive behaviors after Sharon filed a separate restraining order against her for “elder abuse” on Eduardo’s behalf in October 2024.

The filing alleged that Umansky, along with his business partner William “Billy” Rose and their real estate company The Agency, conspired to misuse loans for struggling companies.

“This is about greed during a national public health emergency,” Relator LLC stated in the petition. They clarified that Mauricio had submitted applications for two Payroll Protection Program (PPP) and CARES Act loans through his real estate firm, The Agency, during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Relator LLC emphasized that the loan programs are not designed to support or maintain the profits of a company that has sufficient resources to compensate its employees.

It clarified that the financial assistance initiative was actually created to preserve the jobs of workers employed by companies that could not afford their wages.
