The Spanish hospital in Tangier is being renovated. The structure will benefit from an amount of 2.6 million euros (about 26 million DH) for its renovation, the Spanish media reports.
The aim is to improve the reception conditions of the structure for patients and other users. Madrid’s intervention is justified by the deterioration of the building’s structure and the city’s seismic risk, which endangers the safety of hospital users.
The hospital, built in 1950, is in a dilapidated state. It was converted into a retirement home.
