Four Moroccan truckers have been missing since Saturday while traveling on a road between northeastern Burkina Faso and western Niger, the Moroccan embassy in Burkina Faso told AFP on Sunday.
According to the diplomatic mission, the trail of these truckers, who were traveling in three different trucks, was lost “between Dori in Burkina Faso and Téra in Niger”.
They “took a route that passed through a very vulnerable area where terrorist cells and armed groups known for their regular looting against road transport companies are active,” she said. The Moroccan embassy is “in close coordination” with the Burkinabe authorities to find the four missing people.
