Pharmacya company focused on AI-generated models has raised $8 million and launched its own company new iOS mobile app.
While human models won’t like this, Botika said it empowers online clothing companies of all sizes to make their clothes look good with its AI-generated models.
The app, along with the latest advancements in Botika’s generative AI platform, helps fashion brands create high-quality, model-like images for e-commerce. In addition to this announcement, Botika has successfully closed an $8 million seed funding round co-led by Stardom and Secret Chord Ventures, with participation from Seedcamp.
This funding will drive continued product innovation and support the company’s expansion in the fashion industry, where it has achieved remarkable growth – increasing its revenue nine-fold and its customer base by eleven-fold last year.
With this significant capital infusion and the launch of the mobile app, Botika aims to provide an accessible, cost-effective solution that enables online clothing brands to improve their visual content, increase sales and reduce production costs.
Botika’s unique AI technology is designed to seamlessly support brands convert basic product images into professional, studio-quality shots, complete with AI-generated models and backgrounds that reflect each brand’s aesthetic, with the company also training its own bespoke base models.
More than half of buyers When deciding whether or not to purchase an item of clothing, rely on the images provided by the brand or retailer. Still, the production costs of an e-commerce photo shoot can range from tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of dollars per shoot, the company said.
Botika’s AI-generated fashion model addresses this critical pain point for fashion brands and overcomes the hurdle to deliver high-quality, on-brand images at manageable costs and timescales. Botika’s platform enables brands to create lifelike, visually appealing images in minutes to engage customers and increase sales.
The new Botika mobile app brings the platform’s powerful AI-generated modeling tools directly into users’ hands, enabling fashion brands to create stunning product photos directly on the model, anytime, anywhere.
The app gives brands access to their own AI-powered virtual studio, dramatically reducing time to market by streamlining image production without sacrificing quality. This mobile functionality also includes Botika’s new support for flat lays and pack shots, expanding the brand’s capabilities beyond its original focus on on-model photography.
In response to demand from mobile users of e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and others, Botika said it designed the app to enable end-to-end, professional-quality photo creation directly from the phone. Brands can now seamlessly capture, edit and sync images to their online stores, reducing time to market while reducing costs and maintaining quality.
“To turn browsing shoppers into buying shoppers, attractive and accurate product images are important, but not every photo is the same,” Botika CEO Eran Dagan said in a statement. “As consumer expectations rise and e-commerce becomes more competitive through social selling, smaller online brands and boutiques risk losing profits due to photography costs or lackluster images that drive less engagement and fewer sales. With the release of Botika’s iOS mobile app, we are bringing the power of generative AI to our customers, giving brands the tools they need to bring their creative visions to life and compete in a demanding online fashion market better to claim.”
The recent financing and product innovations represent an important milestone for Botika and the plan is to build on this momentum through 2025.
