“We are a big group. I am a family of seven,” Jennifer explained. “I have a sister with my goddaughter. She is a widow (and) she and my goddaughter accompany us wherever we go. So we travel (with) nine or more people. We met up with my cousin, another family of six. … There are 15 of us, not to mention the other two families who met us at the airport.”

Navigating airport chaos

Jennifer and her husband, Bill Aydin51, was traveling with her five children during the holiday season when they stopped at Jersey Mike’s. After going through TSA security, Jennifer and her cousin Susie decided to get something to eat before their flight. Jennifer recounted how they had just arrived at the sandwich chain’s opening and were in line around 5:45 a.m. “It was a little slow, but we didn’t want to complain.” Jennifer explained.

Things started to get tense when Jennifer’s Cousin Susie left the line to look at another kiosk. “She didn’t answer the phone with me again because it had already started to pile up.” Jennifer divided. “So she decided to wait for me at the front of the checkout until it was my turn.” When it was Jennifer’s However, when she turned around, she let Susie walk ahead of her Jennifer believes that others may have believed that she let Susie “cut the line.” “I didn’t have them cut.” Jennifer clarified. “I just ordered a sandwich. I only had one that my kids wanted to share. That was my job. I’m in mom mode, just trying to get my kids food.”

There will be frustration if the order is delayed

After Susie ordered, Jennifer followed her own orders, but found that the woman behind her was helped first. “We’ve been waiting. “We’re at an airport and we have a flight to catch.” Jennifer said. “We’ve already gone through TSA, I’m a big group, everything took (time), so of course tensions are high.” She reminded the employee that she ordered first, but the employee replied, “You have to wait , until it’s your turn.” Jennifer adding, “I didn’t want to make a big deal about it.”

The situation escalated further when Jennifer’s My husband came to add another sandwich to the order.

“They’re working on the only sandwich I ordered.” Jennifer said. “It’s a foot long Italian, and Bill said one of our kids wanted a plain tuna mini with nothing on it.” Jennifer asked for the extra sandwich, but the employee told her to go to the back of the line, which frustrated her even more. “She looks up, and I guess she realized I was right, and she says, ‘Well, then the guy behind you has to say it’s OK.'”

The man behind her in line

At this point, Jennifer hadn’t noticed the man behind her, who reportedly called it “kind of ridiculous.” Jennifer added another sandwich to her order. “Tensions are high. I know I will be blamed for something and I will keep my cool.” Jennifer said. “The whole purpose of my recording – I know it backfired – was to show that I wasn’t freaking out. I’m just recording the window. At this point, the guy isn’t even my thing.”

The man then allegedly pretended to be a law professor and threatened to sue Jennifer for “all (her) fake diamonds” when she posted the video. Jennifer expressed her shock and disbelief at his reaction, saying: “I am literally so shocked and disgusted by this man’s behavior,” adding that she is “triggered by bad behavior.”

A moment of regret

Jennifer admitted that she didn’t handle the situation well in the heat of the moment. “I realize I didn’t approach this properly, but in the moment I was just so shocked and horrified by this really unwarranted, aggressive behavior. Then I pointed the camera at him,” she said. “In my fear, I told him because I wanted him to know that you just can’t be rude to people like that. You don’t know who you’re being rude to, and I’m going to keep you on your toes.”

Despite the incident Jennifer reiterated that she tried to be polite to the Jersey Mike’s staff and was at no point rude to them. “I wasn’t rude to the staff at Jersey Mike’s at all,” she clarified. “I tried to be polite.”

Customer service and apologies

The situation took a turn when one of the employees allegedly threatened not to finish Jennifer’s Sandwich order. “In the video they were still working on my sandwich. It’s not like I paid. I haven’t checked out,” Jennifer explained. “So for them to tell me to wait until the end of the line or that I had to ask this guy for permission – that really started an argument. They shouldn’t have done that and that’s just customer service.”

When she thinks about her actions, Jennifer admitted that posting the video was a mistake. “I realized I should have done it differently and it could have turned out a little differently,” she said. “And I’m learning now not to do things in the heat of the moment because as a celebrity I wasn’t angry. … I was a paying customer who didn’t get the sandwich for her child.”

Jennifer also apologized for some of her comments, including calling an employee an “80-year-old woman,” but clarified that she would not be reaching out to Jersey Mike’s or the man behind her to apologize. “I won’t,” she said. “They beat me up all the time. … I’m going to apologize for calling (the worker) an 80-year-old woman and doing all that, but that’s about it. They’re monetizing that, which I’m really happy about. Finally something good will come out of it for them.”

Learn from experience

As the situation continues to develop, Jennifer seems to take responsibility for her actions while acknowledging the challenges that come with being in the public eye. “I have to realize that I am a public figure and that everything I say or do will be scrutinized and I actually have to lead by example,” she concluded.
