The two actors who appeared in most of the Jurassic Park films

After six films some great momentsand a blood-soaked list of health and safety violations, it’s a wonder why so many have dared to return from hell to the titular vacation spots in the Jurassic Park series. And yet, even after that all the deaths (which many expected)Some characters managed to reappear in later chapters of their choice. Idiots.

A handful of brave scientists and dinosaur wranglers plunged to their deaths and then returned for more, but two familiar faces in particular made the most of it. Currently, Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Neill and Laura Dern have all appeared in three films in the scale saga. Pratt and Howard both starred in Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom before teaming up with Neill and Dern in Jurassic World: Dominion. The 2022 film marked the latter couple’s third appearance, having previously starred in the film together “Jurassic Park” (which is obviously still the best) and “Jurassic Park III.”

However, when it comes to Ian Malcolm (aka Jeff Goldblum), everyone’s favorite hairy-chested hero, he’s appeared in four of the six films so far and has made it out alive each time. Goldblum isn’t the only one who made it to four appearances; BD Wong’s Henry Wu also appeared with the same frequency, but he wasn’t always on the right side of history.

If anything tarnishes the original Jurassic Park film, it’s the knowledge that BD Wong’s warm-hearted and overly enthusiastic geneticist Dr. Henry Wu became such a traitor in Jurassic World. Returning in the franchise reboot and then again as a borderline Bond villain in Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom, Wong’s corrupt comeback was compelling, if poorly handled.

In Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World, Wu is the lead geneticist of the renamed attraction and the creator of the Indominus Rex, which is a major concern to any sane person who thinks a dinosaur that can camouflage is a bad thing. In Fallen Kingdom, he plays God again and creates the Indoraptor as another potential military weapon because the last time worked all right then. Luckily, Wu learned his lesson in time when Jurassic World: Dominion comes out, just in time before the world is overrun by dinosaurs. Good job, Wu.

For Wong, he was just grateful that he took more time with the character and the storytelling diversity in 2022: “I make no bones about it, I came in leaving ‘Jurassic Park’ thinking that the character was completely underserved and thinking, ‘Well, nobody cared about him.’ And then Colin Trevorrow kind of spoke to him word of mouth and brought him into this world where all his work really mattered and really influenced other things. I’m always very grateful that I was the actor who got to do that.

We’ll have to wait and see if either character appears in Jurassic World Rebirth on July 2, 2025.
