Three people were killed in an accident at a tram stop in Casablanca
Casablanca – Three people died and another was seriously injured in an accident at the Ibn Tachfine tram stop in Hay Mohammadi, Casablanca on Wednesday morning.
The accident occurred when a truck collided with the tram stop, killing three people, one of whom died at the scene. The second victim died at the Mohammed V Hospital in Hay Mohammadi, according to the Regional Directorate of Health and Social Protection.
“The third person died while the other two victims were taken to CHU Ibn Rochd,” the same source added, noting that “the victims suffered serious injuries.”
Meanwhile, teams from Casa Tramway, the management company for Casablanca’s tram network, were dispatched to the site to prevent disruption to tram traffic.
