Four soldiers from the US Army were killed in Lithuania during a training exercise, said NATO Secretary General, Mark Rutte, with reporters in Poland on Wednesday. The US message in Vilnius used to say in a statement Posted on social media that the four soldiers had disappeared during training, and thanked the military and the police of the Baltic Nation to help they look for American armed forces.
A US official would only say that the four soldiers were involved in a training accident.
“The news came out over four American soldiers who were killed in Lithuania in an incident,” Rutte told reporters in Warsaw. “These are still early news, so we don’t know the details. These are really terrible news and our thoughts are with families and relatives.”
The US message said in its social media post that the troops were missing in a training area near Pabrade near the Far Eastern border with Belarus, a nation, Closely allied with Russia. The message did not say when the soldiers were missing.

“The soldiers, all from the 1st brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, carried out planned tactical training at the time of the incident,” says the explanation of the message.
Lithuanian News Outlet Delfi said that the soldiers were missing together with a persecuted vehicle that usually refers to a tank or an armored staff carrier.
