21 dead in riots in Mozambique after highest court ruling on election

At least 21 people were killed in unrest after Mozambique’s top court upheld the December 23 election victory of the long-ruling Frelimo party. The decision by Mozambique’s Constitutional Council sparked renewed nationwide protests from opposition groups and their supporters who claim the vote was rigged.
