2.6 Friday Faves – The Fitnessista

Hello friends! Happy Friday! How are you doing? What are you up to this weekend? We babysit our little niece Daisy, go to P’s basketball game, celebrate EJ’s birthday, and watch the Bad Bunny concert aka the Superbowl. I hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead of you!

I wasn’t planning on leaving here this week, but… it was one of those weeks. I was inundated with client appointments and calls (which I love!!), but one of the girls was sick, we found mold in our bathroom (inspectors are coming on Monday), something else happened behind the scenes (everyone is fine, but we just weren’t expecting it), aaaand my Paypal was hacked for the fourth time in a month. (With a crazy password + an authenticator app.) I ended up canceling my account because the security got so bad. So yes. That’s what happened here; I don’t have a lot of fun or exciting things to say lol buuuuuuuut

On the bright side, it’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party. Here I share some of my favorite finds of the week and around the internet. I’m always happy to hear about your favorites too, so please share what you like in the comments section below.

2.6 Friday Favorites

Fashion, beauty, coincidence:

this Shark hair dryer.

I’ve been thinking about getting a Dyson for years but couldn’t find it in me to spend $500 on a hairdryer. My hair is long and pretty thick, and I didn’t want to spend two pairs of jeans and a cute dress on something that might not work for my hair. I’ve heard rave reviews about it Shark Flex Fusion, and when I saw it at Costco for $279, I went for it. I am not exaggerating that it has already changed my life and that of my children.

It gave me a salon-worthy blowout in about 25 minutes on the first try. I used it to straighten both girls’ hair and it looked AMAZING. I will definitely post a tutorial here on the blog soon!

Lola took her first walk! The vet gave us the all clear last week and she loved it. I was worried she would think the leash and harness would attack her, but she has been a pro since day one.

She also actually ate P’s homework. I showed the picture to her teacher after school – she laughed out loud – so P could get a replacement.

A few little February goodies for the girls:

(plush toys, heart jams and chocolates)

A new candle warmer:

(with this Oak Essentials candle)

Read, watch, listen:

Working through this book for our candida, metabolism and vitamin mentoring:

The new thing began Bridgerton season and I’m so glad it’s back. Are you watching?!

This podcast episode was excellent. This was one of the first books I read about personal finance after college, so hearing David Bach’s voice was pretty cool. (I downloaded This one after listening to the podcast episode.)

Fitness, health and good food:

I’m completing my first quarterly detox of the year. Even though it was a bit of a challenge – I wanted to dive into chocolate after the Paypal disaster, but let me tell you – I feel great. I didn’t sleep much this week, but I slept well, I had energy and I remembered that it’s good to eat lots of healthy vegetables and fiber.

(Detox pizza with ground chicken crust, lots of vegetables and tofu *cheese*)

The Lumebox sale is live!! You can get 45% off until Sunday this link. I use it every morning while I check my email and it’s the perfect pick-me-up. I also use it for so many different things, like pain, period cramps,

A new rose humidifier from my friends at Canopy. Isn’t it beautiful?! I run our Canopy humidifier every night and the girls have it in their rooms too. I think it makes a big difference in the winter, but also because it’s so dry here in Arizona. It definitely helps my skin, eyes and hair. Use FITNESSISTA here! They work amazingly well and are easy to clean, have anti-mold technology and you can also add aroma pucks with essential oils included.

If you’re looking for Superbowl recipes, try this one dairy-free buffalo chicken dip!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today! I wish you a great weekend and see you soon!

xoxo
