Hello friends! Happy Friday! What’s going on this weekend? We meet friends for dinner, head to a fun fall festival, and tour a high school for Liv (how?!). At the moment I’m just enjoying a relaxing morning with my Lumebox and mine PEMF mat. The weather has been to die for this week so I’m hoping we can go on a family hike. I’d love to hear what you’re up to!
It’s time for the weekly Friday Faves party. Here I share some of my favorite finds of the week and around the internet. I’m always happy to hear about your favorites too, so please share what you like in the comments section below.

Fashion + Beauty + Coincidence:
NYC Adventure! We had the best fall break trip to NYC. It was P’s first time and it definitely lived up to her high expectations. She couldn’t believe how tall the buildings were and how many things there were to do. Both children were blown away by the great shopping, the beautiful scenery of Central Park, and all the incredible food options.
Some of the highlights:
See Six with the family! Liv and I saw the touring production and loved it, and I thought it would be the perfect family Broadway Show, since we have already seen the Disney productions. It’s not entirely inappropriate – there are some references that will totally resonate with younger children – and it’s short and sweet. No break, more of a concert atmosphere. This cast was crazy – Heart of stone I almost sobbed into my cup of white wine – and everyone loved it. P said she wanted to see it again!
Pizza at Don Antonio’s. Pizza like this always confuses me in the best way. It’s doughy, salty, aromatic, not greasy. How come 99% of gluten free pizzas are terrible when gems like this exist?! It is possible to make the perfect gluten-free pizza. You just have to get on a plane to get them.
(Always the Margherita with anchovies)
Modern bread and bagels. I’ve been following her on Instagram since forever and added it to our must eat list. P is also gluten free and we are both often disappointed by gluten free bagels and donuts. This place had both and they were more amazing than I could ever explain. They tasted real! NYC is really doing it right, friends.
(I liked it so much that I went back the next day to get bagels to take home in my suitcase. The good news is they ship!!)
Museum of Natural History. Liv and I were there years ago and wanted to take P. with us. She was overwhelmed by the displays and we all enjoyed strolling around. It’s easy to spend a few hours here and it was the perfect way to spend an afternoon.
Central Park. We walked around Central Park for a few hours and found a beautiful lawn where we could relax and the kids could run around freely. At this point I imagined my life in New York and what it would be like to hang out here in the middle of the work day or on the weekend. The life.
Sculpture Society with friends!! I reached out to my friend Heather, who I’ve known for ages in the blog world but haven’t seen in years, and was so excited to meet her for a Sculpt Society class at UES. The studio was beautiful and we were able to take classes with Matt, one of my favorite TSS teachers. (But I love them all!) It was so great to meet Heather and also meet and spend time with a blog reader, Sana!
Sana reached out because she lives in NYC and I asked if she wanted to meet for class. I love meeting blog reader friends in real life. You’ll often tell me that you feel like you know me from reading the blog, but it’s the same – I feel like I know so many of you (especially my OG reader friends) after all these years.
With Sana and Heather:
(She brought the cutest gluten free goodie package! The girls and I had the best dessert picnic on the flight home)
As far as the lessons go, I really enjoyed them. It went by super fast and killed my inner thighs. Matt was also a joy on a personal level. I appreciate his energy and teaching style and am so glad I had the opportunity to take a class with him.

We also shopped, ate so much delicious food, walked around everywhere and just enjoyed the city. NYC is such a magical place and I hope it doesn’t take another 6 years until we get back 😉
(Just a little greeting to our beloved Amex Platinum! For this trip, we used our $100 RESY dining credit, $200 hotel stay refund, points toward our hotel, and free lounge access. If you decide to give it a try, My referral link is here. My from my You can find travel tips with a credit card in this article.)
Olive Rose is heeeeeeeeeeeeetle! I’ve been waiting for this day for months and shaking off my emptiness Skin tint bottle. It’s lightweight, buildable, and like skincare and makeup in one. I also ordered some lip butter and blush to try out, as well as a refill of my beloved shower gel.
Read, watch, listen:
I’m reading this right now and it is fascinating to see how tongue position, swallowing, breathing, etc. affect facial shape and structure. (Beyond the physical effects, proper breathing mechanics make a huge difference to sleep and the nervous system!)
Are you watching? Dancing with the stars? If so, who are you rooting for this season?
