Liam Neeson continues his reign as the king of the B-movie with his latest thriller. In the land of saints and sinnerswhich is just as general as the title makes it sound, but there’s a catch. The Irish set film features an almost entirely Irish cast, which wouldn’t be notable if Jack Gleeson wasn’t there. Gleeson spent years away from films and television, but this is his low-key return to his most famous role as Joffrey Baratheon, the world’s greatest villain game of Thrones.
Liam Neeson always finds trouble
In the land of saints and sinners stars Neeson as an IRA bomber holed up in a picturesque Irish seaside town but employing old habits Die Hard. Neeson’s character, Finbar Murphy, ends up working as a hit man for a local petty criminal until a job goes wrong and he changes his mind. Standing up for an abused woman sets off a slow chain reaction that ends in bloodshed, tears and shortened lives.

In the land of saints and sinners gives Gleeson a chance to get back into acting in a different type of role and hopefully make people realize he’s not Joffrey.

Today the film was finally discovered by the audience thanks to Amazon Prime, but from day one it was always destined to be cheap and easily digestible streaming content.
